Summary: Conrad Lorenz (1903-1989), loved animals. He often kept many animals around his house as a boy, and then, as an adult. This book focuses on geese, the discoveries Lorenz made while watching and interacting with them.

Personal Reaction: I did not know that geese will attach themselves to the first person they see. I thought the bond Konrad and the geese shared was nice, since the geese waited on him to come out to start their day.

Extension Ideas: As a science study we could see what other kinds of animals we could train this way, by doing research. We could also study the different jobs that people have in the study of animals and set up questions like what makes this job fun or would you think it is difficult.
