All Because of a Cup of Coffee (Geronimo Stilton, No. 10)

No, thank you. The different fonts and colors were cute, and I can see why it'd be fun for kids to read. Maybe I just happened to pick up the one with a crappy plot, I don't know, but Geronimo Stilton falls in love and basically it's a sexist stereotype on every page. The series is pretty popular with kids, so I need to read another one to find out if it was just this one I don't like, or the whole collection.

This book was a lot of fun. If a child wants a fun read or a book to get them interested in reading, I would recommend G. Stilton. I laughed my head off at all the plays on words and silly situations.

"Geronimo Stilton" is a mouse who runs a newspaper, but loves to write adventure stories. This adventure story begins as Stilton falls in love with a beautiful mouse at the coffee shop. He travels with family in search of the mysterious 8th wonder of the world, to impress his loved one.
A more advanced chapter book, 108 pages, with full colour illustrations on every page, lots of slang, humour and cheesy silliness. Typography changes frequently to emphasize descriptive words (colours, adjectives). Suitable to read aloud to kindergarten to grade 1 or 2, and for advanced readers to read alone.
