Dissolute/dissipated, doddering/doting, dominating/domineering, disperse/dispel/dissipate, dissembling/dissimulating/ simulating – tanti confusibles, che ti confonde davvero le idee. Personalmente, preferisco evitare i libri di falsi amici e simili nemici perché tendono a confondermi le idee laddove prima le avevo chiare, ma ogni tanto servono a capirci qualcosa. La differenza fra specially e especially, fra spire e steeple, scupper e scuttle, sortie e sally?
