This is a book about Sacagawea that focuses on her childhood and how brave and eager for adventure she is. Her travel with Lewis and Clark is almost a footnote at the end- her childhood adventures are the main focus. There's a lot of forshadowing of her travel, and I did wonder if some of it was just made up for the story. I did get slightly annoyed at how things were called by word with explanation word (like "tipi house") rather than just explaining what they were. I also noted that things were way altered to make them kid friendly- like Sacagawea's marriage.
i really enjoyed this book! sacagawea is a very adventurous and responsible
girl! if you read this book i'm very sure you will enjoy it as much as i did!
