This journalist's report on masculinity, written over 15 years ago, is equally valid today. He begins with an examination of football hooliganism but doesn't stop there. The complexity of the "traditional" role of the male in human society can be seen as at least a partial cause of brutality against women, the job inequality nearly every country in the world is still struggling with, racial violence, fear and hatred of homosexuality, etc. It is passed on from generation to generation.

Stephan Mendel-Enk has also written fiction, some of which I have also read. He has become one of my favourite Swedish authors.
Mycket intensiv och tänkvärd bok om män, manlig hegemoni, fotboll och nyare forskning
