Paul Robert Magocsi is a noted scholar in the fields of history, cartography, sociolinguistics, bibliography, and immigrant studies. He is holder of the John Yaremko Chair of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Toronto, and since 1996 elected full member of the Canadian Academies of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences-Royal Society of Canada.
