Just translated the last chapter of this book into English. It's beautiful chapter. I may have to go back and reread the book now...
Okay, well, I reread the book. I appreciated it a lot more the second time around. Maybe I read it too quickly the first time. In any case, there were parts that were incredibly lovely. Sometimes the digressions got a little distracting.
Major themes in this book: identity, friendship, and what it means to help others.
I am currently reviewing this book for The Caribbean Writer, http://www.thecaribbeanwriter.org/, so I'm sure I'll have more to say about it there.
