Darkover fan here -- and it didn't really add anything to the Darkover series for me. A very, very short story beginning and ending with someone telling the archaically worded tale of Lady Bruna to some children. By archaically worded, the tale within a tale (and come on this was already a very short piece) had a lot of who begat who and what alliances/families, etc. that while rather in the vein of some of the Darkover books did not add to this short tale or make for good reading.
