Apparently written to fill out To Ride Pegasus, and explain the beginning of the story. The second and third stories in the collection are the first and second ones written. This one explains who Henry Darrow is, and the accident (in several senses of the word) that gave scientific proof of psychic talent; also, how the land for the Center was obtained. Like most of the Talent stories, there are very interesting characters with lovely scenes between them - the telekinetic display, invading the Commissioner's office, at least two - no, all three of the scenes with George Henner. The whole thing with the precog of the ship disaster and how they handled it. And so on. The final scene is great, and it's nice to get an early glimpse of op show more Owen. I like. show less
