Willa St. Clair is a witness to what she thinks is a murder. When the safe house she is staying at is compromised, she flees to a remote island called Cape Diablo to hide out. Little does she know that the killer may have followed her there. I really enjoyed this story and thought it was a lot of fun. The island of Cape Diablo and the Spanish Villa where Willa stayed provided a wonderful atmospheric setting. I thoroughly enjoyed the supporting cast of characters who also inhabited the villa and the island. They were undoubtedly a very strange and questionable lot. I liked Willa, but I did question her lack of judgement. I thought she put her trust in hero Landry Jones way sooner than she should have, considering she initially thought he show more was a killer. Landry himself wasn’t around much until about the halfway point, so it took some time for any romantic overtones to enter into things. But overall, this was a very entertaining read, with a great setting and cast of characters that I really enjoyed. show less
