How Do You Tuck In a Superhero?: And Other… by Rachel Balducci
A delightful book. Mostly stories of the author's own five boys. Not a lot of advise. A fun read. I had to ask my husband about some of the antics. He found them very believable even when I was incredulous. I grew up with one sister. We had no experience of brothers.
This collection of stories is written by a mother, for a mother. It is quick to read and easy to pop in and out of as time (or children) allow. The book is based on Balducci’s blog www.testosterhome.net which features even more peeks in to the life of raising 5(!) boys and one brand new little girl.
I can so relate to Balducci’s crazy, boy-filled life and I found some of her stories downright hilarious. How did that footprint get on the ceiling??
I actually had to stop bringing this book to the gym due to uncontrollable laughing (and subsequent strange looks) while on the treadmill. The writing is really good and I don’t think you need to be a mother to boys or even a mother at all to appreciate the creative, adventurous and crazy quirks that make up a young man. I recommend this one.… (more)
