Wow, really good. Way better than I expected. I don't know why I should have expected any less from Ian Rankin. One of my favorite Hellblazer stories of all time. Fit right into the universe.

I kind of like that this is a longer story arc, and this is just a middle bit. It feels like it's got some weight and import.

I enjoyed this.

This volume is a middle chapter in a longer story arc, but James Tynion IV squeaks in enough action and character development to keep me reading through with the same urgency as if it were the finale. And, boy, the confrontation being set up looks like it's going to be a humdinger! So eager for the next book!

Not much to say about this one, other than it's the same weirdly apt artwork, the same great writing, the same well-delineated small town characters, and a fun monster.

But there's also a great setup for what comes next that I'm quite looking forward to. Another strong entry in this series.
