Interesting historical anecdotes, many of historical interest, but sometimes the inclusion of certain persons was predicated more on their being Irish than because of any noteworthy accomplishments.
Still, it was fun to read.

I never read any of Myles Dungan's books before this one and I was not at all disappointed and would recommend him again. He writes in a very readable style and disassembles the legal nous of each case in a very clear and concise manner to those with no legal background. It has encouraged me to explore his other titles.

I'm pretty sure it's somewhere online this is an interesting set of stories about jerks from Irish history. Between traitors and fools, people who wanted to change liberties but appear generous, and people who chose the wrong side when the chips went down this is an interesting read. The authors speak with humour and intelligence and show how a lot of people have been sanitised beyond belief.
