Julie Merberg

This book does a good job of introducing young children to the Jewish traditions. It uses simple language and pictures to accurately portray what a Jewish Mitzvah is. By using photos instead of drawings the students can see real life images of what things are and gain an understanding for the tradition. I think this book would be useful around the 1st or 2nd grade. Students would get to learn about a new culture and be able to understand the whole book.

A quick little story told with Monet artwork. Mx liked to look at this book for a bit. Ms is relatively indifferent to it.
