I got this book on Kindle for an inexpensive price and I was able to use the Alexa assistant to have AI read it to me in a less robotic voice which actually sounded like a real woman. That was the best thing about the book. The book has a problem with honesty. I think she lied about a bunch of stuff because I saw her on the Wendy Williams show and she doesn’t seem to be credible. Also, the book is filled with sentiment, as if it was written by AI or AI helped her write it to make it unusually sappy and keep emphasizing how much she cares about the people in her life and talking about them but yet at the same time, revealing very little about herself. I mean, I believe all her emotions are valid. It’s just that I’m not interested in knowing about her friends and acquaintances. I wanted to know specifically more about her. Of course I did not read the first book yet. The reason is that book is not on Kindle and I certainly do not want to buy a physical book just to to find out about Tatum O’Neal who recently had a stroke because she never stopped using drugs. She’s kind of like Carrie Fisher in that, she loves to use psychiatric drugs and say she has problems, but then she mixes those with recreational drugs, and so the consequences of that are going to be very devastating.… (more)

I really liked this book and really felt for Tatum, who I love. BUT after her relapse in '08, I too am now questioning how much of what she wrote is true.

It's sickening how her parents treated her though, and I can relate to that, to an extent. Here is this strong-willed child, who just needed to be loved.

Her dad is a dick though.

Hi this book was a quick read. I really liked it, but then I started to realise (during the chapter of her marriage with John) she is always playing the victim, it is always the other person's fault.I do think she just wrote this book to take revenge on John and her dad. Tatum is also very big on name dropping. Even if she met a famous person once, she managed to write it in this book and make friends out of them. LMAO.She managed to make me not like her, (I did before reading) but still an enjoyable read. Now I am going to give it to my mom. Thanks for sharing!!!!… (more)

Reading her father's book and than her book, back to back. I must say that I am sure that the truth is somewhere in between the two. I do admire Tatum for admitting that she had issues. Ryan's book was a little more blaming than self-loathing. A quick read.
