Slow

So this is definitely a slow burn. Cleo is a concierge/personal assistant type to the rich. Deacon is one of her clients. This first book is all about her breaking down his walls and the two of them realizing they might have feelings for each other. So they’re not together in this book. In fact, both are with other people. But they have such a sweet bond and I can’t wait to see them act on it.

Such a delicious slow burn with the right amounts of drama and angst. Two things that I don't normally love, but it's working for this series. It took more than half the book, but Deacon and Cleo are finally together. The next hurdle is getting Deacon's ex to move there so that Deacon can have unlimited access to his son. The ex is the worst. Hopefully Deacon and Cleo can survive her.
