I first came across this series when I was living in the UK, so this was a re-read. I had always remembered the books as being good and wanted to see if they lived up to my first experience with them. I'm happy to say they did. What these three books -- City Girl, City Woman, and City Lives -- offers is hope. Hope that things can get better. Hope that you can change your life. Hope that you can be successful. Plus putting three strong females in main character roles is inspiring. Great series. Wouldn't be surprised if I read it again in the future.… (more)
