As an Early Reviewer, I received a lovely note apologizing for the late delivery of my copy of this book. I wanted to like this book but it was fictionalized self help book for couples and was not at all plausible. I could not believe the male characters would participate in the ABC dating game. Perhaps this may work for Gen X couples but not Boomers.

If you are a person of strong Christian faith, you may enjoy the author's practices.

The concept of this novel intrigued me, and I also loved the colorful cover. I wanted to love the story itself, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. The characters sometimes professed to be believers but in the same breath of saying something about trusting or thanking God, they would use His name in vain/ as a curse repeatedly. Their lives also didn't reflect a very Christian life. I am by no means implying that a Christian's life should look perfect - not at all! We are all growing and learning. But there is still a difference in how we live our lives when we profess our faith according to the Bible, not what we want faith in God to be. I felt like a lot of it was that the characters used God for what they wanted - only blessings and goodness, taking Him along for the ride instead of following Him for His will. The faith aspect also was more heavily on the "good vibrations and energy" which I'm not a fan of. I do agree that the goal of this story is a good one - marriage is worth fighting for, and it is important to keep the spark alive, no matter the years of marriage one is on. And going through the alphabet for date ideas was a good idea. I couldn't personally connect with the characters, and found them rather shallow, and the story seemed to jump around a bit, often with details that weren't really necessary. As I said, I wanted to love it, and I'm sorry I didn't. I appreciate the opportunity to read it, and wish the author the best. I am grateful for the review copy she sent.… (more)

I received this book in exchange for a review. I couldn’t put it down. The cast of characters keeps you intrigued. The various couples and what each encounters is something everyone can relate too.

I really liked this book. There were mentions of religion but it wasn't preachy.
