Written in the 1940s by Geraldine Bailey, Marguerite Henry, and Lois Donaldson. This series page is only for the books illustrated by Kurt Wiese.The countries of the First Series are: Alaska, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Panama, West Indies. The Second Series countries are Bolivia, Ecuador, Greenland, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Peru, Venezuela. The Third Series countries are Colombia, Costa Rica, Guiana, Newfoundland, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Salvador, Uruguay. The Fourth Series countries include Australia, Bahama Islands, Bermuda, British Honduras, Dominican Replublic, Hawaii, New Zealand, the Virgin Islands.
