About me I'm in my early 20's. I like to garden and cook. I love to read, particularly fantasy and scifi. I'm interested in green construction and permaculture. I'm into art. I make masks as a hobby.

About my library Been gathering books since I was a kid. I almost never get rid of a book unless I completely hated it and can't stand to even be in the same room with it. As a result I have a number of things I picked up years ago and probably won't read again, but I keep them around just in case.
At this point most of my books are entered, though doubtless I will run across some that have been left out, the bulk of them are done. I have refrained from adding books not physically in my possession, so books I've read but don't own aren't listed here. I've also decided against including a wishlist of books (even properly tagged), since I could easily add a few thousand that I know I want to read and it would overwhelm the books I actually have. Maybe a second account is in order for that. It would be nice to keep track of books I want without mixing them up with the ones I've got.

Thanks Aerulan, that was just the sort of thing I was wondering about.
I've had a bit of exposure to permaculture, but the main frustration has been how strongly most writers assume that you have a mild climate and can grow things year round. I'd been hoping these books would be able to fill in a few of the gaps for me, and it sounds like they may well do so.
Something to put on my wishlist for Christmas anyway!
Cheers,
Joanna
Hi,
I'd love to know what you think of "Edible Forest Gardens". Is it worth the money?
Cheers,
Joanna
Aerulan, I haven't gotten the latest Hodgell book yet. Our local (independent) bookseller has a difficult time with that publisher; I'll probably wait for the local sf cons this winter, Meisha Merlin usually sells books there. The other question is how did you come to read her novels? I first heard about her in the Faces of Fantasy book and figured she must be good if she was in that list with only two published books.
Just curious. Does the 'tier 1' tag refer to your judgement about a book, or to its physical location?
I was interested to see that we share 'Great Swedish Fairy Tales' Illustrated by John Bauer. My wife has had a Scandinavian pen-friend for many years, and in 1979 she sent her this book. The illustrations I think are fantastic (and the tales are not bad either) Is your copy Delacorte Press or something else ?
All the best Devenish
