About meI've been busy... Lord Mikable and I finally got married and we just got back from our honeymoon in beautiful Amsterdam! I love, well, Lord Mikable first of course, MMORPGs, reading, cooking and my new iPod Touch. And I'm going back to college this spring to finish my bachelor's degree in art. Things are ahappenin'.
Formerly a graphic designer (print production, packaging, licensed products, typographer, editor & sometime copywriter); Scottish Renaissance reenactor (costuming, ladies' cannon crew, weapons, fibers, cooking, drinking); art student (fiber arts, woodworking, drawing).
About my libraryMy library is currently in boxes. I have been on a decluttering campaign and managed to get the inside of the house painted. We have a plan to turn a wall in the living room into a built-in bookshelf to house the bulk of our books in style. Makes it hard to read tho... sniff I miss my books boo hoo!
Pet Subjects: women who kick ass, the Napoleonic wars, folkways and how things work, crows, some Sci-Fi/Fantasy.
I finally found a great complete set of Collier Dumas! Wheeeeee! Currently hunting a complete set of Rafael Sabatini.

I do feel A Feast for Crows is dragging a bit. I'm on about page 550, and nothing significant has really happened. The story lines with the secondary characters are not all that interesting. I like Brienne, but her story really hasn't progressed. She has been going around looking for Sansa the entire time. I've really grown to like Sansa's character. I didn't really start liking her character until the end of the third book, with the snow castle scene and Littlefinger shoving Lysa out the door.
Storm of Swords has been the best thus far in the series, in my opinion.

I was thinking about you last week while watching the Stewart Granger version of "Scaramouche." Did you ever find your set of Sabatini?

Incidentally, are you also a fan of Samuel Shellabarger? I've been scouting around bookstores for a good copy of [The Captain from Castile]. I read it when I was 12 after seeing the Tyrone Power movie and remember thinking the movie was better, but I suspect such would not be the case were I to read it now.
