I'll do my best to remember to post some thoughts on it. So far, I'm enjoying the book -- it's so interesting to hear of real people's experiences; it makes history come alive (for me). :)

In case it's of interest -- University of California Berkeley has a series called "Conversations with History," which somebody has helpfully put onto YouTube. Harry Kreisler interviews scores of writers, journalists, politicians, thinkers, et al. The series includes an interview with Roya Hakakian, and it was this program that alerted me to, and whetted my interest in, her book.

(Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with UC Berkeley, Hakakian, or any other such entity! I'm just passing on the info in you case it's of interest to you.)
