About meI am an undergraduate student at Ohio University majoring in Linguistics with a minor in Japanese. I enjoy mostly fantasy, but I've read many science fiction novels as well. Mostly, though, I only read short fiction when it comes to sci-fi. I also enjoy playing the East Asian strategy game Go. In addition to all of this, I also pass the time by doing computer (mainly web-based) programming.

About my libraryThis library consist of books that I actually own (or used to own, but gave away through BookMooch), as opposed to books which I have read. For that, see my profile on Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1291590 -- that is where I am working on assembling the list of books I've read.

The reason for this is that it seems to me that LibraryThing is designed to catalog books which one owns. The only simple way of adding a book to your library is by ISBN, and getting the ISBN of all of the books you want to add either requires quite a bit of legwork or a copy of the book with the ISBN printed neatly on the back cover. Goodreads, on the other hand, is much easier to add books for which you do not have this information, as it has a built-in database of books through which you can search.
