An understandable guide for those willing to work at it a little, by a Nobel Prize Winner. ( )

A Nobel laureate's terrific collection of relatively nontechnical but very meaty writings on particle physics (especially quantum chromodynamics -- quarks, gluons, asymptotic freedom, etc). I had already read the ones that originally appeared as columns in _Physics Today_.
