Thriller

As always, Brad Thor is on current events and brings another action packed thriller. This time Scot Harvath has to fight terrorism on the homefront.
Brad Thor's character Scot Harvath has evolved over the years/novels to a character that stands up for his beliefs and country. he is doing the dirty work so that Americans can sleep at night. He wants to keep his country save and he will sacrifice his own life for it.
I know that Scot Harvath is a fictional character. I can only hope that there real Scot Harvath's out there doing exactly that.: Keeping us safe from all enemies, foreign or domestic.
I can only recommend the novels. You dont have have the previous novels read, but it certainly helps. This time Brad Thor has done remarkable research. He stays true to the characters and story line.

Good could have been great if Thor had done more to develop the potential threat of the government contractor. Lots of action. ( )

ATS, a shadowy defense contractor, has Scot Horvath and the rest of the Carlton Group classified as traitors and sends out hit teams, killing many. Meanwhile, one of the ATS techies uncovers the pot and is killed, but not before sending a thumb drive to her sister and instructions to contact the Dwarf (Nicholas.) ATS is planning an Internet armageddon so it can implement its own version, which tracks all users. This is a scary book if you have any paranoia about governmental spying on or suppressing its own citizens. The old man, Scot and Nicholas manage to overcome the odds stacked against them, and root out the rogue elements. ( )

There were a lot of places in which Caroline Romero could envision being murdered - a dark alley, a parking lot, even a nature preserve - but a shopping mall in broad daylight wasn't one of them.
