The first and still one of the best of the Conan volumes. Three original Robert E. Howard stories, and one rough draft completed by the editor. The stories still hold up remarkably well the better part of a century after they were written. (

This is the first Conan (and Robert E. Howard) book I ever read and is still my favorite. The first two stories in it are still my favorites. This is barbaric heroic fantasy at its finest. (
