This is a good story adequately told. You can forgive it for going into too much detail some of the time, because the man who wrote it didn't start out to be a writer. He's just a bloke who was unlucky and then got lucky when Bob found him and he adopted Bob. I found some of it a little annoying. It took him an incredibly long time before he stopped trying to get Bob to go back on the street. In fact, I don't see anyone who loves animals trying to do that at all, ever. But overall it was interesting and Bob, I have to say, is one amazing cat. ( )

Enjoyed very much after watching the movie, which starred the actual cat! ( )

The first time I read this book was 02/25/2018. Although I recall liking this biographical story, and even watched the movie version, for whatever reason I did not give it a rating or review. For those not familiar with James Bowen's story, he befriends a stray cat who is injured and nurses him back to health. Ultimately though, Bowen credits the ginger cat he names Bob, with saving his life.

Fast forward to 2022 and I decided to listen to the audio version this time around and thought the narration by Kristopher Milnes was excellent. Since I was already familiar with the story, I did multitask and listen to the audio while doing other things. If you enjoy inspirational stories and like cats, or even animals in general, I'd recommend this book. Mr. Bowen wrote several other books relating to Bob and I'd recommend them also. ( )
