It's possible I read this one too quickly. Still, I love these two characters, but the "mystery" plot that throws them into turmoil was kind of meh. Honestly, everything nasty about the ton becomes apparent in this book because of how they view Damaris. I have to admit, I am looking most forward to the last book in this trilogy, especially given the taste of Genevieve that we got in this novel. She seems like an interesting character to slowly reveal and grow. ( )

I had to look multiple times at the print date because I swear I've read this before, but no, its a new book. I even checked LibraryThing to make sure I hadn't some how read it before - nope. This book has the exact same plot as several other books I've read. There's something at the end that I'm not going to spoil but I've seen that exact thing happened before too. I'm going to comb my books but this is so similar to something else I've read that it just wasn't enjoyable. ( )
