Substance: Contains answers to most of the questions people have about the LDS religion, including doctrine, history, and culture. Not detailed, but enough. Style: Modern multi-image magazine and textbook style, with copious side-bars and information snippets. Not my bag, but easy to read and understand. I have been reading through various chapters of this book and find it very easy and straight forward reading. Visually it is very appealing with pictures and quotes and excerpts inserted to compliment the ideas being expressed. I feel the explanations offered would be very useful to a non-member family member or friend who is somewhat familiar with LDS culture but doesn't understand why certain beliefs or practices are important to LDS members.
