He's a pirate, an adventurer--and Esther Carlisle has just let him into her New Orleans antiques shop. Cullen Murphy claims he knew Esther's late father...and that her wild-dreaming daddy discovered the true location of the legendary chocolate diamond. Esther knows she should show the handsome treasure hunter the door. And she will. In a minute. Everything changes when gun-wielding thugs barge in and start shooting. If you want an excellent review of this story then check out love2readnovels review. I couldn't have stated it better:

"Esther Carlisle owns a little antique shop in New Orleans. Something she's continued to keep going after her father's death. Her life is very predictable and quiet until Cullen Murphy shows up at her shop one evening right before closing. Cullen claims to have known her father and is convinced that he knew where the famous chocolate diamond was. Esther isn't sure if she can trust him but before she has time to think she finds herself being protected by Cullen when two men break into the shop. As the two fight to stay alive while looking for the treasured diamond, will they find out what a true treasure really is?

The Diamond Secret is a really fun read. It had action, suspense and of course, romance. When I picture Cullen I see Remington Steel. Very suave, good-looking and definitely a charmer. I loved his romantic ways with Esther and they were sprinkled throughout the story which was a real treat! I liked Esther because although she didn't really trust Cullen, she tried to understand him. She was a reasonable heroin which I always appreciate. The story was fast-paced and I enjoyed figuring out the letters and clues along with Cullen and Esther. I think it causes the reader to think about what treasure it is they are seeking. I thoroughly enjoyed the ending and how things turned out. If you're looking for a quick read that keeps you entertained I recommend you try The Diamond Secret." (Thank you love2readnovels)

I totally agree, this was a story that had it all; action, suspense, romance and little bit of fun all rolled into a very fast moving story. ( )

The Diamond Secret by Lenora Worth
4 STARS I liked it but sad to because of the bad guy. The Diamond Secret is a treasure hunt for a famous diamond that was last seen in Louisana with a pirate. Has lots of drama trying to figure out the clues of where the diamond is and who is the real bad guy or is it gals? Esther is running her father's antique shop she inheirited after her fathers death. She sells antique jewelry, furniture, weapons and clocks. Also in the shop she has her art that she makes using different broken pieces. One evening as she is about to close a guy comes into the shop and is looking for something that her father had. Esther tells him to come back tomorrow and look around. Cullen tells her that he also brought her father's letters to him for her to keep. As Cullen is leaving he sees two guys and pushes Esther back into the shop saying they were there. They go toward the back and hear the breaking of glass. As they are running and hiding out they have shots fired. Cullen uses a blow torch from her studio and a gun to give Esther a chance to get away. Cullen goes back with her to her apartment with her after the cops are through. They can tell someone has been to her home too. Esther reads the letters her father wrote to Cullen and remembers all the treasure hunts he made up for her. Also the stories he would tell her when she was younger. Her shop is broken into and this time they took stuff from the safe and some papers were gone too. Who knows that Cullen is after the chocolate diamond and has clues that her father had left for her to find where it was. Was her father murdered? Or was he going senial? Did her father know where the diamond was hid? If he did how did he figure it out? Thier are a lot of mystery surrounding the famous chocolate diamond that Cullen is looking for. This is a good story and nothing to worry about in this story. No sex, No swearing. I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley. 08/01/2012 PUB Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense ( )
