I think I enjoyed making the sounds featured in the book more than the children enjoyed hearing me do so. It doesn't have a story to it, which I think had the children disinterested in it. Tough crowd, I know. ( )

Love the way it ties into the books. But the colors aren't as bright and, therefore, E was bored. ( )

There are more words on the cover of the book then there are in the pages. It’s okay and I can see the flow from the original. It’s a primer that looks at sound. And as that it works. As a representation of the classic, it’s a little lacking.

I love the entire series of classics for preschoolers and early readers as much as my 2-year-old granddaughter -- If you have kids or grandkids, these are a great addition to your home library and will get children interested in the classics from an early age. Each has a different educational element to it:
Little Miss Austen:
Pride and Prejudice is a counting primer
Sense and Sensibility is a an opposites primer
Little Miss Bronte:
Wuthering Heights is a weather primer
Little Master Conan Doyle:
Sherlock Holmes in The Hound of the Baskervilles is a sounds primer
Little Master Kipling
The Jungle Book is an animals primer
Little Master Carroll
Alice in Wonderland a colors primer ( )
