Amy Ludwig VanDerwater writes the poetry book about 20 different types of birds in the world. This is a great poem book for children to learn about nature and the environment that surrounds different types of birds. This poem book may be incorporated in a science or social studies lesson for grades k-2. ( )

"Everyday birds" is a poetry picture book that teaches young readers about twenty different types of birds. I really enjoyed this book because it was fascinating to learn about different types of birds through poems. I think this would be a great book to teach children not just about poetry but also about animals that all children are familiar with. ( )

Simple, poetic, factual, with unique illustrations that resemble stained glass but are actually cut paper. Back matter includes a smaller version of each bird illustration along with additional basic facts about each. ( )

The Every day birds book is an easy read. It gives pictures of the birds and at the same time tells some thing about the bird. This book is easy to read and would draw a child in because of the few words but great points. ( )

Gorgeous and colorful paper-art portraits of a wide variety of bird species. The boldly contrasted images, paired with the rhyming factual text, make this a compelling read-aloud for general audiences and a must-see for backyard birders.
