The basic plot is the same as in 'The Thursday Friend': (Warning: spoiler) Woman marries abuser because she believes noone else would have her. Writes book and meets publisher. Crisis in marriage leads to happy end with publisher. I think The Thursday Friend worked better. ( ) This triology was not one of my favourites. I read them because of the author but did not think they were particularly good. This is the first of the triology.
