"Turkije" is een rijk geïllustreerd boek waarin de Ottomaanse architectuur in Turkije vanaf ongeveer 700 tot 1900 wordt besproken. De nadruk ligt natuurlijk op de vele moskeeën in Turkije, met name die in Istanbul en de moskeeën die gebouwd werden door Sinan, de geniale architect van Suleyman de Grote. De tekst van het boek is niet zo bijzonder, maar de vele foto's en bouwtekeningen zijn prachtig. ( )
