A little rabbit is kind of reckless when stealing from a gardeners yard despite his mothers warning against going there. He is captured and almost turned into pie until he manages to escape and get home to his mother and sisters. Having learned his lesson.

The story of peter the rabbit is very popular. I have read many stories just like this one. Peter has to find a way to get back home because he got stuck in the families garden. Once he gets home, he is punished because he didn't listen to his mother. He learned from his mistakes and knows to never cross the fence again. ( )
