Some character complexity perhaps. An experimental ship fights in a space war. Great. It's Star Trek for grown-ups, what they call "dark and edgy." And I strongly dislike that about it. It gets a lot more right than it gets wrong - it's often gripping, it's got a great cast, and Tilly is the best Star Trek character ever. But it tries so hard to look and act like other popular shows that, despite being much higher quality than past Star Treks, it ultimately feels unimportant and forgettable. no reviews | add a review
