The story of Georgia O’Keeffe’s life, told as if she were narrating it.
Literary Merit: Could be read to learn a little about this American artist and whet the appetite for more in depth reading about her. The author did extensive research, interviewed, visited Georgia O’Keeffe museum and research center, and even lived in New Mexico to formulate the story.
Characterization: Georgia’s personality, artistry and even sewing skills were described. Her independence was rare in women in the early 1900’s.
Audience: Middle graders, Teens, and Adults who want a thrilling story about a strong woman.
