I ended up closing the book. It had such a great storyline idea however... Calling him "the vampire king" over and over was too repetitive and each time it happened, the small amount of interest that was finally caught was stripped away.
I do if I will give it another chance... I have been known to come back to a book after I have tried it but, honestly, I doubt I will.
I will check out other books by the author but so far, I am not impressed. ( )

I think that this is the best one of the series yet. Of course, the authors will do their best to top it, so I may end up saying the same thing next time around too. The fact is, though, that this is an extremely excellent book with a pair of characters that I really enjoy.

I've liked Lucius since we first met him, so getting to see him more is really cool. Getting a look at his history and into his mind makes me understand why he does the things that he does and why he is the way that he is. That only made me like him more and look forward to him showing up in future books.

I like Selene too. I think that she is a fabulous character with a great journey through the book. She really emotionally matured during the story, so that was fantastically awesome to see.

I'm really looking forward to where we are going to get taken in the next book. ( )

this was definitely my favorite so far of this series. Lucius had always intrigued me but this book had him on another level. The authors did a great job building the anticipation between Lucius and Selene. There was definitely a game being played here. Selene thought that she was controlling the pieces on the board but she didn't stand a chance against Lucius.

There were a few twists here that caught me off guard and I liked that. The story build up and the answers that came with the resolution were very thought out. In a couple of the other stories, the ending seemed to be too rushed and resolved too quickly. However, in this book even though it was fast and only a month it felt longer. The connection was very real. The BDSM elements in this story were very well done too. Definitely one of the best in regards to the series in its entirety.

The connection and chemistry between these two characters was truly beautiful. I loved the care that they each showed each other and how they ultimately gave each other something they both were longing for. They also showed the importance of trust. Not just in BDSM play but in the elusive quest for love.

I am not sure where these two fabulous authors are going to go in the future or if this series will continue. I hope so. I will follow these two authors down the rabbit hole while smiling the entire way with whatever they want to write because they are that good at weaving a story that sucks me in from the very first page. ( )
