A Thelma and Louise revenge, heist, prison break set in space. ( ) Millar keeps kicking out these loud and stupid movie pitches, and I keep reading them because they're just mindlessly entertaining. This one crosses science fiction and crime fiction as two female prisoners in an alien penal colony team up to get revenge on the criminal partners whose betrayals put them behind bars. One's got the brains and the other has the muscle. Together they wreak much flashy violence. There is nothing subtle here in plot or characterization as Millar aims less for surprising twists and more for shocking turns.
