An intriguing brief history of London's St Pancras station, including a brief biography of its architect, Gilbert Scott.
It was amazing to see the detailed plans for the construction which was expedited with customary Victorian celerity. Bradley gives detailed insight into the architectural and engineering achievements that all contributed to this majestic Gothic folly. (

I walked past this station every morning on my way to work for nearly 6 years. I was there on the day it reopened for Eurostar. The book sets it beautifully in its historic context, value engineering and all.
