No current Talk conversations about this book. it's a mail order bride romance and it's a clean Romance, there's no smut in it. it's a prequel in the Montana westward brides series. very short read. it was an okay read for me but it wasn't very exciting, most of the book focuses on mason and Jenny's budding relationship. Towards the end the story picked up a bit but then it seemed to get cut short and the rest was explained in the epilogue. if you enjoy a clean romance set in the west then i think you'll enjoy this book. ( ) This was a cute little story and an enjoyable read. I say little because it was so short. I liked that the sexual aspects of the book were insinuated but not graphic. The author afforded her readers a really good sense of the love and passion between the protagonists without forcing them to become unwillingly voyeuristic. It was refreshing. I do wish the book was longer though. The epilogue appeared quite abruptly; I felt as though I had missed out on something somehow. This seemed more like a short story than a book to me. Special Note: I was selected in LibraryThing's Member Giveaways in exchange for an honest review This is a super-short story about mail-order brides. It has SOOO much promise to be a good book. The problem is that it's too short. I really wanted to watch the characters transform and I just didn't really "see" much of a transformation. It was a good idea to throw in some child abuse because the story was lacking conflict. I wanted to see some problems so I could see some action. I think the story needs to be longer, so we can see more character development and better pacing of the storyline. Amelia Rose has the ability to write a good story, but I think she needs to flesh it out more. no reviews | add a review
