Compared to most academic books, this one seems to be pretty much in touch with the movement.--AK

Introduction to Pagan Studies is a great book which overviews not only the believes found within paganism in general but also the pagan community as a whole. This book on contemporary paganism is about the history and sociology of paganism rather than magic and mystery. This book is designed to educate, not entertain. Author Barbara Jane Davy has provides an excellent text establishing a scholarly, systematic and interdisciplinary approach to the study of the growing pagan culture of the 21st century. ( )
