When I ordered this book, I was afraid that I would get a book full of movie pictures and actor interviews, with only a sprinkling of concept or production illustrations. Instead, I got a surprisingly hefty tome absolutely stuffed with full-color illustrations, pencil character portraits, and storyboards. Almost every aspect of the movie is covered, from elaborate character and costume studies to extraordinarily detailed scene designs that stretch for two full pages. If you want a book that tells you what the actors ate during production, look elsewhere. If you'd rather have a book that gives you a look at the creative process of producing the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, this is definitely for you. ( )

The entire collection of art from all three movies is astounding. Complete with storyboard art, character and set concept art, costume designs, both early and final. Open this book up and prepare for rich full colour artworks! ( )
