I thought this book was too poorly written. The concept was good, but it was too disorganized and jumped all over the place without transitions. The story was ok, but the writing style took too much of my attention away from the message. ( )This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. A well written book, that is a long way beyond satire. Its an original concept and turns funny on its head. I would love a copy to be sent to every member of the Tory party in the UK. One of their spokesman said this week that Bed and Breakfast businesses should be allowed to say no to gays. Perhaps superfag, should take a tour.Anyway this book is not for everyone, but some need a wake up call and this would not only wake them up, but blow their minds. This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. This book really wasnt my cup of tea I mean I couldnt really get into it. I think though the writing style was good it was an easy read and it wasnt to long or to short in length so those were some good things about it but like I said I couldnt really get into it. no reviews | add a review
A half-divine child of Zeus comes to Earth to rid it of homophobia. Good luck!!
REVIEWS:
"Superfag is good, mean fun. Really mean." -- Oblivion Magazine, San Francisco "Curzon spews droplets from his poison pen like a disgruntled postal
employee with an Uzi." -- Bay Windows "Superfag, a biting satire on homosexuals and homophobia, is Curzon at his acid best." --Jesse Monteagudo, Community News (Florida) "Bad taste, and great satire, lives!" --Bookpaper (Bookpeople) "Nothing is subtle. On the other hand, neither was Jonathan Swift in his classic satire GULLIVER'S TRAVELS. Mr. Curzon holds up the looking glass in order that we-- at least some of his gentle readers-- may see our own foibles. If we can see ourselves in some of these motley characters, then Mr. Curzon will not have written this delicious satire in vain. Certainly SUPERFAG is not for everyone; but for some of us, it is manna from heaven. And we know who we are."
