#1 New York Times bestselling author J. D. Robb presents four stories of paranormal desire and suspense--featuring a Lieutenant Eve Dallas novella. In J. D. Robb's "Ritual in Death," Eve Dallas plunges into the violent aftermath of a ritualistic murder--and into the mind of an alleged witness who can't remember a thing to save his life.  Mary Blayney's "Love Endures" investigates a deception that has kept two lovers apart for years. Eve faces a ritualized murder, pentagram and all and a an attempt to frame an innocent man. There were spots when the story jumped, like a section was taken out or maybe the transition just didin't work for me. Classic 'In Death' formula.

I enjoyed the J.D. Robb In Death story, but I really didn't like the others. ( )

A ritualistic killing in Roarke's high rise building, while Eve and her husband are attending a party, has to be coincidence right? In a tight fitting, sparkly dress and killer heels, Eve Dallas must once again turn her head to the obscene. A woman is murdered in cold blood and a man covered in her blood holding the murder weapon has wandered into a room of partiers. And Eve among them, must now uncover what truly has happened here ( )

Suite 606: Four ALL-NEW Stories of Paranormal Desire & Suspense, J.D. Robb, Mary Blayney, Ruth Ryan Langan, & Mary Kay McComas

? ? ? 1/4

This is my first time ever reading J.D. Robb/Nora Roberts & Lt. Eve Dallas.... So far, very interesting & well written... But be warned, my opinion of this could change by the time I finish the book!

Ritual in Death, J.D. Robb ? ? ? ?

What a thriller...great writing, great plot, disturbing, a tad bit graphic.....But I might even read another of her books.

Love Endures, Mary Blayney ? ? ?

What a sappy romance & ghost story.

Cold Case, Ruth Ryan Langan ? ? ?

What begins as a leave of absence (his partner took a bullet on his behalf)...ends up in a rural Vermont B&B, witness to a murder decades past..... The ending was sappy......

Wayward Wizard, Mary Kay McComas ? ? ?

Mother & son travel back in time at the behest of a magical stone in order to unite the stone with its twin & its original owner... Along with an unlikely romance. The one thing I did not like was the opportunistic time travel back into the second story......

A book of short stories involving the supernatural influences on couples ending up in Suite 606. Suite 606 is not always the same place or in the same time, but always leads to a happy ending. As with all books of short stories, some good – some not-so-much. ( )
