This is a pretty basic book that gives an overview of many aspects of self sufficient farming. He talks about plant rotation, animal rotation and combining the rotation of both for increasing the quality of the land and decreasing pests and diseases. He not only talks about the raising of crops and animals but also butchering and storage.
Overall I would say it was an interesting overview but I certainly would want more specialized reading before getting into any of the fields he covers.
