A series of short stories mostly featuring the character Colonel March, who is in charge of the eponymous department at Scotland Yard. He deals with the sort of bizarre occurrence that abound in Dickson's stories, including a crime committed by an invisible man and another committed in a non-existent room. The stories vary in quality ("Hot Money" is quite weak in my opinion) but are mostly good, and one ("The Other Hangman") has claims to classic status. ( ) no reviews | add a review
