It has good characters (not good in the sense that they are perfect...but more as in interesting) and you'll wonder what goes on in Sugar Hill Hall until the very end. ( )This gothic historical story has been one of my favorites since childhood. It is the tale of recently orphaned Emily Luccock, who finds herself a slave to the evil Mrs. Meecock in a house where a stolen peppermint is a high crime. Great fun, and still a good read after 20 years! 0.016 seconds to build listing
