This book was hilarious. Lucky, Teddie, Dane, Subway, Miss Patterson, the Big Boss, Romeo. Descriptive, humorous, sexy without any graphic sex writing. Mysterious on who was going to be the villain in the story. Great story that was engaging & fun. I can't wait to read the next in the series. ( )

Similar feel to Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. It's not thought-provoking or deep. But, if you're looking for a light, fun read, this may be the ticket.

pros:
action
light mystery
character development (meeting the characters, some of whom will, presumably, be recurring)
relationships ( )

Surprisingly enjoyable for a free kindle book. Certainly enough so that I will be reading the next in the series. Fun quirky characters, fast moving plot ... overall just a fun read. ( )

I picked this up because of a display at my local library. October 30 is Nevada day this year (to commemorate statehood on October 31, 1864). This book takes place on the Las Vegas Strip and is written by a local author. At first I wasn't sure about it. It was a little too light and silly for my taste, but it either got better as it went along or grew on me. I would like to read the next one in the series sometime. ( )

This was an entertaining read!

The mystery was good and handled well- and I LOVED all the Vegas context, with its over-the-top personalities and locations.

I will mention that there was quite a lot of raunchy content, though Lucky herself is amazingly prim for a girl raised in a brothel.

The characters were well-drawn- the more important ones were well-rounded, and the others entertaining.

I enjoyed it, and will likely read more in the series. ( )
