A brief book on the history of North Carolina, of limited interest. The essays are short, none over 5 pages, and suitable for children of any age. The essays about basketball and television seem irrelevant as history but that's only an opinion.

The book can be read in an afternoon and no more time should be spent on it. The major sources of information for it seem to be state guide books and magazine articles. Use it t relieve a rainy afternoon if you have nothing pressing.
